Delivery Choices and FAQ’s

This is sent within 48 hours of ordering, by Royal Mail. This is charged at our lowest rate possible. For Build and Buy boxes, postage is £2.95 for one single box or product. For Letterbox Club packets, postage costs are £0.75 per month in addition to the monthly subscription price. These charges are intended to cover the cost of postage only, not of packaging, time, etc.

First class delivery option, UK Mainland only. This is sent next working day by Royal Mail. This is charged at the standard delivery rate above, plus an additional £1 per box.

Multiple Boxes will be sent individually at the same time to keep postage costs at a minimum.

All standard orders (excluding subscriptions) will be dispatched within 48hours. 1st class postage orders are dispatched within 24hours, excluding Sundays.

The Courier will leave a card indicating the day and time they attempted to deliver. The card will advise you where your parcel is and have contact details to arrange re-delivery. Please note club boxes do not require you to be at home for delivery.
We charge UK mail rates for BFPO addresses. However these can only be dispatched within 48 hours via our standard service and may take up to 7 working days.
We charge the same postage price for orders to non mainland U.K. Orders will be dispatched using Royal Mail and customers must note that non U.K mainland orders may take up to 10days to arrive. Letterbox Club subscriptions are charged at the same rate of £5.99/£6.50 per month plus postage.

Please add all items to your shopping basket and then click the “your basket” icon to start the checkout process. If you wish to remove any items, simply change the quantity to zero and click update. All orders should be completed online using our secure checkout process. You know when a page is secure because a padlock symbol shows at the bottom of the browser (or if the address of the web page starts with https). Accepted payment methods are: debit/credit card and PayPal (other than e-cheques). Club subscriptions will be debited within 7 days of set up. Account details can be changed at any time by contacting us via email or calling 01732 252255.

We also accept cheque payments. Please complete your order online and print your order when prompted. You can then forward your cheque payable to The Rainy Day Box Co Ltd, to us at Greensleeves, Kent, DA13 0TT.

Please note that failed cheques will incur a £15 charge by our bankers. Therefore, when cheque payments fail, this charge will be added to your total bill and we reserve the right to add a reasonable handling charge to this cost. If you have any questions about payment or ordering do contact us.

In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock, we will contact you by email or telephone before dispatching your order. If we are unable to contact you, we will refund the overpayment.
All activities are NOT suitable for children under three years of age due to small parts. We do not recommend ages for our own kits. We do recommend an adult supervises all activities. Please consider the age and suitability of our activities carefully before completing your purchases.
We are able to deliver to an address other than your home address. The full order must be mailed to one single address. You will be offered the opportunity to include a gift message to any big box in the checkout process. This will be written on the tag at the top of the your box.
You will need to contact us immediately on 01732 252255, or e-mail hi@rainydaybox.co.uk . If your order has not been packed ready for dispatch, we will gladly add the item(s) to your order. However, orders are processed quickly and efficiently. If we are unable to add the item(s) to your original order, we will contact you either by telephone or e-mail, as it will be treated as a separate order, thus incurring an additional carriage charge.
Orders can be cancelled prior to dispatch. Subscriptions can be cancelled within 14 days of receipt of confirmation. Please email us as soon as possible to cancel your order/subscription. We will confirm receipt and cancellation.
Goods can be returned in the original undamaged packaging within fourteen days of receipt for a refund. Please ensure you include your original order number with your return. Postage costs for the return of items cannot be refunded.

Where goods are returned, please ensure you obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office, which is provided free of charge. Refunds are normally processed within 7-10 days of receipt of goods. The statements above apply in addition to any other statutory rights. Club Subscriptions are non-returnable unless they are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please notify us immediately upon receiving your box of any short deliveries, faults or breakages. We will ask for ALL faulty goods to be returned for inspection.

If your parcel should not arrive please allow 15 days before contacting us but please notify us within 21 days. We will be unable to meet any claims for non-receipt of goods after this time has elapsed.

By purchasing from us you agree to be included on our email mailing list. We only email with regard to our own items. If you do not wish to receive emails on our products, please confirm this during the checkout process. You will be given the opportunity whenever we mail to remove your name from our mailing list.
